Neptune Scuba Diving

What is the best time to dive in Bali?
Bali offers year-round diving with water temperatures between 26-30°C. The best visibility is typically from April to November during the dry season. However, each season offers unique marine life encounters - mola mola (sunfish) are commonly seen from July to October, while manta rays can be spotted year-round at sites like Nusa Penida.
Do I need to be certified to dive with you?
No certification is required for our Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) programs, which are perfect for beginners. For certified divers, please bring your certification card and logbook. We offer PADI courses from beginner to professional levels if you'd like to get certified or advance your training.
What dive sites do you visit?
We dive at various sites around Bali including Tulamben (USAT Liberty Wreck), Amed, Nusa Penida (Manta Point, Crystal Bay), Padang Bai, and Sanur. For Komodo trips, we visit world-renowned sites like Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Manta Alley.
Is equipment rental included?
Equipment rental is available at an additional cost. We provide high-quality, well-maintained equipment including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, masks, and fins. Many experienced divers prefer to bring their own mask, computer, and wetsuit for comfort.
How big are your dive groups?
We maintain small group sizes with a maximum ratio of 4 divers per guide. This ensures personalized attention, safety, and a better overall diving experience. For courses, the ratio is even smaller as per PADI standards.
Do you offer hotel pickup?
Yes, we offer complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off for most areas in South Bali including Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Nusa Dua, and Ubud. Pickup times vary depending on the dive site location. Please confirm your hotel location when booking.
Is NITROX available?
Yes, NITROX (Enriched Air) is available for certified NITROX divers. If you're not yet certified, we offer the PADI Enriched Air Diver course which can often be completed in one day. NITROX is particularly beneficial for repetitive diving.
What should I bring for a dive trip?
  • Dive certification card and logbook
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Sunscreen (reef-safe preferred)
  • Sunglasses and hat
  • Change of clothes
  • Camera (underwater if you have one)
  • Motion sickness medication if prone to seasickness
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), bank transfers, and cash payments in IDR, USD, or EUR. A deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due before your dive trip.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled dive receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee. We understand plans change, so please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes, we can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, halal, and other dietary requirements. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies when making your booking so we can prepare accordingly.
Is diving safe?
Scuba diving is a safe activity when proper training and procedures are followed. All our instructors are PADI certified professionals with extensive experience. We conduct thorough briefings, maintain our equipment to the highest standards, and always prioritize safety over everything else.
Do I need dive insurance?
While not mandatory, we strongly recommend dive insurance (such as DAN or similar) for all divers. It provides coverage for dive-related incidents and medical emergencies. Many travel insurance policies do not cover scuba diving activities, so please check your policy.
Can I dive if I have a medical condition?
Certain medical conditions may affect your ability to dive safely. You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire before diving. If you answer 'yes' to any questions, you may need clearance from a physician. Common concerns include heart conditions, asthma, diabetes, and ear problems.
How long after diving can I fly?
According to DAN (Divers Alert Network) guidelines, you should wait at least 18-24 hours after your last dive before flying. For multiple dives over several days, we recommend waiting 24 hours or more. Please plan your diving activities accordingly with your flight schedule.
Do you offer mermaid courses?
Yes! We offer PADI Mermaid courses for all levels, from Discover Mermaid experiences to Advanced Mermaid certifications. Learn to swim gracefully with a monofin in the beautiful waters of Bali. These courses are perfect for those who want to combine fitness, fun, and underwater photography.
