When is the best time to go snorkeling Bali?

The snorkeling Bali is good all year around and it’s one of the most popular excursions for single travelers, couples, families or groups. All of the Bali dive sites are perfectly suitable for snorkeling as well. This makes for a good option in case your group is mixed with divers and snorkelers.

Ideally the best conditions are during March to October up until December, before the rainy season of January and February. But even in January and February, conditions are still very good for snorkeling.

How is the schedule of the snorkeling tours in Bali?

The day begins at approximately 7AM with the hotel transfer. At the dive center we will meet the team, check the snorkeling gear and after the trip briefing we will head out to the chosen snorkeling spot in Bali.

Choosing the best place for snorkeling in Bali is important as the island provides great diversity. Bali’s most popular snorkeling spots are Tulamben, Padang Bai, and Amed but by far the highlight is Nusa Penida as that’s where we can see the majestic Manta Rays and the best coral reefs.

For easy days of snorkeling Bali we warmly recommend to choose Padang Bai. A nearby location, just 1 hour away from our dive center in Sanur but packed with marine life and beautiful healthy coral reefs. In Padang Bai we can find Blue Lagoon, one of the best beach for snorkeling in Bali.

Is hotel transfer included in the price?

Yes, we offer free hotel transfer in Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak and Nusa Dua areas. For Canggu, Ubud, Jimbaran and Uluwatu we can pre-order Grab Taxi as the most affordable transportation option.

What time do we start and what time do we finish?

The day typically starts in the morning with the hotel transfer at approximately 7AM. Depending on the trip, return time is generally scheduled for approximately 3-4PM back at the dive center.

I am not a good swimmer, can I still snorkel?

Yes you can. For all our snorkeling trips we provide 3mm long wetsuits which provide additional buoyancy as well as life vests if requested. For added safety and comfort all our trips are guided by professional PADI Divemasters or Instructors who also carry special floating devices in the water.

Can children join the snorkeling trip?

Yes, children as young as 5 years old can safely join snorkeling trips if the weather allows it. When snorkeling trips are joined by children younger than 14 years old, we provide private snorkeling guides.

How large are the groups?

In the car there may be anywhere between 6 and 12 people including dive / snorkeling guides. In the water we separate in maximum 4 snorkelers for 1 snorkeling guide groups.
