Famous for easy dives, Padang Bai generally has low or almost no currents and diverse tropical marine life. With short transfer times, this makes Padang Bai the favourite diving spot in Bali for beginner divers and those looking for a half day trip.
Padang Bai is also known for night dives and macrophotography. Dive sites full of surprises for advanced divers and passionates of underwater photography.
Perhaps the most famous dive site among all in Padang Bai. It features a beautiful coral wall starting off a nice sandy bottom and it’s also one of the main spots for Snorkelling in Bali.
Accessible by traditional spider boat ( Jukung ), Blue Lagoon is only 5 minutes away from the main port of Padang Bai. Diversity is they keyword for this specific dive site and it’s normally the main dive site requested by the majority of divers.
Jepun is the second most famous dive site in Padang Bai and this is because of it’s artificial reefs, often spotting Frog Fish, Devil Scorpion Fish and Stone Fish. It’s also featuring a small wreck at approximately 17 meters deep where often we get surprises.
Sometimes Jepun can also turn into a gentle drift dive when the currents are right which adds up to the fun for all divers with different experience.
The Channel is located just in front of Padang Bai port, a brief 2 minutes away by boat. This specific dive site is only recommended for advanced divers as often currents can be quite strong.
As topography it’s a nice plateau at 18 meters deep with a few small caves where White Tip Reef Sharks enjoy resting.
Drop-off is the main feature of a wall dive. Great variety of marine life but worth mentioning are the Sea Horses,
Leaf Fish and other small schools of fishes. This is a dive site suitable for beginner divers but you should always be looking in the coral as there are always surprises.
Shark Point is the main dive site in Padang Bai where we can spot the White Tip Reef Sharks. Located just outside of the Padang Bai port, we begin the dive from the East side slowly approaching a complex of rocks where the sharks normally sleep.
However, because currents often are strong in this corner of Padang Bai bay, the dive site is normally best suitable for more experienced divers.
A dive site well known for diversity. Here we can spot turtles, White Tip Reef Sharks and sometimes small schools of Barracuda. White Sand Beach is only 5 minutes away from the main port of Padang Bai and it’s a standard choice for when we are doing three dives here.
